TROUBLE SHOOTING 1402:

Q: 1. Connected up unit as stated in install manual but the unit does not lock and unlock the doors.

A1. Double check the type of doors locks you are tied into.

A2. Check the outputs from our unit to make sure it is throwing an output to the door lock wires on the vehicle.

A3. Listen to the module, do you hear the unit clicking inside and are the parking lights flashing when you use the remote. this will tell us if the unit is receiving a signal from the remote.

A4. Make sure you have power on the RED wire and a good ground on the BLACK wire.

Q:2. Connected up unit as stated in the manual, but the unit does not respond to the remote.

A1. Does the remote that came with your unit have a WHITE tag on the back of the remote, if it does not it may be a PTC remote.

A2. Listen for a clicking in the unit when you press any buttons on the remote, check for POWER on the RED wire, and make sure the BLACK wire is to a good ground.

Q:3. Connected unit as stated in the manual but when the alarm is arm, and a door is opened the alarm does not trigger.

A1. Is the door pin input wire connected.

A2. Was the door pin input programmed for the proper polarity for the vehicle.

A3. Does the dome light turn on when a door is opened on this vehicle.

A4. Is the unit programmed for VALET mode. 

Q:4. Connected unit as stated in the manual, but when the alarm is armed, and the vehicle is impacted the alarm does not respond.

A1. Was a SHOCK SENSOR added to the unit during install.

A2. If a shock sensor was added was the NEGATIVE INPUT programmed on.

A3. Is the unit programmed for VALET mode.

A4. Does the alarm chip when arming the unit.

Q:5. The siren does not function when arming and disarming the unit.

A1. Was the siren output programmed on.

A2. Check to make sure the unit is not in VALET mode.

A3. Was a relay added to operate the siren.

A4. Was the unit programmed for SILENT ARMING.

Q:6. The horn does not function when arming and disarming the unit.

A1. Was the horn out programmed on.

A2. Check to make sure the unit is not in VALET mode.

A3. Was the unit programmed for SILENT ARMING.

A4. Make sure that you can touch a ground to the horn wire on the vehicle and that the horn responds with a honk.

Q:7. The trunk does not pop from the remote control.

A1. Was a relay added to pop the trunk.

A2. Check the trunk output wire for (-) negative output when the remote button is pressed.

A3. Touch the trunk pop output wire to ground when connected to the relay to see if the trunk pops, this will tell you if the relay is wired properly.

Q:8. Unit does not flash the parking lights when arming and disarming.

A1. Check our units output for 12volt when arming and disarming.

A2. Double check the wire in the vehicle and make sure that this wire is a POSITIVE parking light wire and not a NEGATIVE.

Q:9. Connected up the starter kill relay but when I arm the unit I can still start the vehicle with the key.

A1. Check the output to the starter kill from the unit, see if it is throwing a ground when the alarm is armed.

A2. Ground the starter kill output wire while it is still connected to the starter kill relay, then try and start the vehicle with the ignition key, the vehicle should not crank if the starter kill relay is installed properly.

Q:10. When arming the unit the LED light does not flash but just stays on.

A1. The unit is programmed for VALET mode.
